Company details, locations and units
The master records to prepare before you record your first transaction.
Company profile
Under User Management → Company Settings, set your company name, logo, address, city, phone, email and website. These appear on invoices, vouchers and every printed document, so enter them exactly as they should appear to customers.
Locations
Locations are the physical places you keep stock — a main store, factory store, warehouse or branch. Stock is tracked per location, so create one for every place goods actually sit.
Keep locations few and meaningful. A location for every shelf makes daily entry slow; one per store or warehouse is usually right.
Departments
Departments are the parts of your business that consume material — production, boiler, maintenance, admin, store. Every store issuance records the receiving department, which is what makes department-wise consumption reporting possible.
Units of measure
Set up the units you actually buy and sell in: kilograms, litres, metres, pieces, boxes, dozens, bags and so on. Each item is linked to a unit, and stock reports are expressed in it.
Custom lists
Custom lists let you define your own dropdown values for the extra details your business captures, without changing the software.
